There are a lot of things in life that I love. Life is too short to be passive. After many years of being deaf, I have discovered the joys of music again. I try to listen to music as often as I can. I also love to take out my sewing machine now and then and make patchwork blankets or cushions. I love traveling whenever I get the chance to do so.
And then there are the passions that I would like to share with you .

I absolutely love taking pictures. I never go anywhere without my camera in my bag. I take pictures of everything and anything that attracts my attention. I also love sharing my pictures, so this is where you will find them.

The beginning of this year, I started with art classes. Although I have painted a bit some years ago, I always felt that I didn’t have enough knowledge of the techniques and different media of painting to really enjoy it. I am no great artist, but I enjoy my art classes tremendously. So, here I will show some of the things I have done so far. But please don’t hold your breath…..

Afrikaans is my home language. It is the youngest language in the world and also a very beautiful and expressive language. If you also love Afrikaans, this is the place to read. I shall try to update this section regularly with interesting and funny stories.
