I've been married to Peet (also known as Dolf) for 39 years. Peet is a guy that is known for his good sense of humour. Living with a deaf person can be quite a challenge, so that characteristic is essential for surviving!

Peet is a qualified electrotechnical engineer and he worked for a company called Sentrachem for 23 years before he retired in 1996. He then started his own business where he screened coal for a mine and also sold lime to the farmers. At the end of 2000 he retired and we moved to Stellenbosch. He took a tourism course and qualified as a tour guide and now manages his own tour and shuttle business with the interesting name of AmaKombiKombi. Peet is a great husband and father and will go to great lengths to make his family happy.

Michael (38) is married to Annamarie and they live in Stellenbosch. Mike works for an actuarial company, and Annamarie is a lawyer. They have two children: Mia, who was born on the 8th of August 2000, and Michael, who was born on 28 September 2004.

Marié (37) is married to Nico. After completing their university studies, they both spent quite a few years abroad before coming back to South Africa in May 2004. They are now settled in Welgevonden near Stellenbosch and have two daughters, Mila, who was born on 31 May 2005 and Maya, who was born on 28 February 2007.

Dawid (32) is a professional photographer and his work can be seen on his website at www.pixelprojects.net He also designs websites and offers beginners and advanced classes in Photoshop. (Contact him at dave@pixelprojects.net ). After working on a pleasure cruiser in the Carribean for two and a half years, he is back in South Africa. He hopes to start a new career soon and to settle in the Western Cape where he can be near his son, Christian. Christian was born on 11 May 2001.

Anita (28) came back to Stellenbosch, South Africa to study for a B.A. course in socio dynamics after working in London as a web designer for four years. She completed her B.A degree in 2006, her Hons. degree in Urban Geography in 2007 and her M.A. degree in 2008.
